Accessibility statement
Direct Commercial Limited
Website: https://directcommercial.co.uk
This accessibility statement applies only to Direct Commercial Limited’s public website. Websites, portals and online services operated by independent insurance brokers, insurers or other third parties may have their own accessibility statements and accessibility arrangements.
Our commitment
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That includes people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, people who navigate with a keyboard only, and people who benefit from clear layout, readable text and good colour contrast.
This statement describes what we have done, what we know about, and how to contact us if you find a problem.
How you should be able to use this website
We want you to be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 200% without most text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the site using a keyboard only
- navigate most of the site using a screen reader (for example VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS)
- listen to most of the site using a speech service such as Read Aloud

How accessible this website is
We take accessibility seriously as part of how we build and maintain the site. We regularly use automated accessibility testing tools as part of our website review process. Automated testing helps identify technical issues but does not replace manual accessibility testing.
That is a useful check of technical basics (for example contrast, image labels and some ARIA usage). It is nota full WCAG audit and it does not mean every page meets WCAG 2.2 AA in every situation.
We believe most people can use the main journeys on the site, including finding products, reading key information, and getting in touch. We also know automated tools and a Lighthouse score cannot catch every issue.
Some customer journeys may involve moving to third-party websites or systems operated by insurers, insurance brokers or other service providers. While we encourage accessibility across our distribution network, we do not control the accessibility of third-party websites or systems.
Areas we know may be difficult
We are honest about limits. Depending on how you use the site, you may find that:
- Some older PDF documents or downloadable files may not be fully accessible (for example missing tags, reading order or alternative text).
- Some third-party embeds or tools (for example maps, chat, video players or cookie / consent tools) may not behave as well with assistive technology as our own pages.
- Complex tables, forms with many fields, or interactive filters may be harder with a screen reader or on a small screen.
- Occasional images, icons or controls may be missing clear text alternatives until they are updated.
If you hit a barrier, please tell us using the contact details below. We will try to provide the information in another format where we reasonably can.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility
Direct Commercial Limited is a UK private company. We are committed to making this website accessible in line with our duties under the Equality Act 2010 (reasonable adjustments) and good practice based on WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The known limits are listed below. We have not completed a full formal audit of every page against WCAG 2.2 AA, so we do not claim full conformance.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below may be non-accessible for the following reasons.
Issues relative to WCAG 2.2 Level AA
- Some PDF or Office documents may not meet WCAG success criteria for documents (for example tagged structure and alternative text).
- Some third-party components may not meet all WCAG criteria; we do not fully control those vendors’ code.
- We may still find isolated issues with labels, focus order, or contrast on individual components as the site changes.
We will fix issues we confirm, as part of normal maintenance, when it is reasonable to do so.
Content not within the scope of the applicable regulations
- Documents that are not essential to providing our services, or pre-date accessibility requirements where an exemption applies, may not yet be remediated.
- Archived or historical material may not be updated.
(If you need an essential document in an accessible format, contact us and we will help where we reasonably can.)
