Our portal is what all Camatics cameras report into via their 4G connections. Whilst our standard cameras have an impressive 128GB local storage, busy vehicles may well produce imagery to utilise all of that within a week and that is why we provide unlimited cloud storage on the portal; Any red event or footage downloaded from a camera is stored, securely, for the duration of a policy and clients and DCL Claims can access that footage at any time. Red event videos are 10 seconds before and after the relevant incident but much more footage can be downloaded by way of a manual request which is also kept for the duration of the policy.
On the install of a camera it will be configured into the system with the relevant vehicles registration number against it but it is also possible to note and regularly change a drivers name against a specific vehicle. This allows for elements of driver behaviour monitoring including speeding, harsh breaking, acceleration and cornering.
DCL only react to red events which appear to involve accidents any other red activations are the business of the policyholder to act on as they see fit. Claims experience does not factor in red events or driver behaviours.

Camatics is not a full telematics system; it is designed to help bring down the frequency and cost of claims, and you will have seen from previous pages, it is incredibly successful at doing that. Certain clients may feel they want two systems running in conjunction in their vehicles to ensure all their business reporting needs are delivered. Only Camatics, with direct reporting to our claims professionals, provides the best chances of reducing fleet insurance costs.
Actioned Events
The actioned events report details a total actioned count for events that have been actioned on the system. Each action is summarised per user per day with per day totals also given on the CSV export.
DSM Risk Analysis Report
The DSM risk analysis report displays the ten highest and lowest risk vehicles/drivers. The report also displays most improved drivers along with trend analysis from the previous report period.
Detailed Journey Report
The detailed journey report details each journey with a breakdown of each journeys key indicators with a graphical analysis of the journeys traveled within the reporting period. Journeys are grouped by day, with a daily summary.
Event Note Report
The event note report details event notes that have been created for events. A detailed data export is given for all event categories and options.
Health Check Report
The health check report details any device, media or sd card errors detected by the platform.
Journey Summary Report
The journey summary report summarises the total journey data for each selected vehicle/fleet.
Last Reported Report
The last reported report details each vehicles last known location and the time and date of the latest position update.
Mileage Summary Report
The mileage summary report gives a basic per vehicle/fleet mileage and trip count for each selected vehicle/fleet. The report summary displays the totals and the highest business and private mileage.
Odometer Report
The odometer report lists vehicles current odometer reading at the time of report generation.
Speed Limit Report
The speeding limit report displays a comprehensive overview of vehicles/fleets speeding on a per-vehicle basis. Each vehicle/fleet has the number of speeding events and max speed displayed for each road speed limit band.
Tabular Time Sheet Report
The tabular time sheet report displays an extended view of a fleets time and distance performance. The data is shown for each day, grouped by vehicle. Each day’s key performance indicators are displayed along with a vehicle total for the reporting period
Utilisation Report
The utilisation report displays a vehicles usage in a graphical time bar format. Journeys are shown in green with parked time shown in blue up until the last trip so that the whole working time range of each vehicle is shown
DSM Event Summary Report
The DSM event summary report displays a fleet level summary of each DSM event type by fleet.
DSM Monthly Summary Report
The DSM monthly summary report displays a six-month comparative analysis of DSM events. Only the start date is considered. The report end date is six months after the selected start date.
Device First Reported
The first reported report details the time and date each device first reported against the vehicle to which its currently assigned.
Exception Report
The exception report details each event from a vehicle/fleet. Events include speeding, harsh acceleration, harsh braking, harsh cornering, and G-Shock.
Idle Report
The idle summary report details a vehicle/fleet summary of the total vehicle/fleet idle time. Fuel cost is estimated based on the vehicle type specified.
Journey Report
The journey report details each journey with a breakdown of each journeys key indicators. Journeys are grouped by vehicle, per day, with a daily summary.
Legacy Event Report
The legacy event report details each event from the selected vehicles. Events include speeding, harsh acceleration, harsh braking, harsh cornering, and G-Shock.
Mileage Report
The mileage report displays a per vehicle/fleet, per day mileage and trip count for each selected vehicle/fleet. The report summary displays the fleet totals and the highest business and private mileage.
Scoreboard Report
The scoreboard report displays a vehicle/fleet driving style performance with the worst drivers at the top. The score is based on the number of events per 100 miles to give a relevant rating between drivers.
Speeding Trend Report
The speeding trend report visually displays the frequency of speeding events by the time of day. Multiple vehicles/fleets are stacked and are colour coded.
Time Sheet Report
The time sheet report displays a week view of a vehicles time and distance performance. Each vehicle is displayed on a horizontal line with seven days activity. Each day displays the start time and location, the end time and location and the days total mileage and hours worked.
