Kennedys recently helped us secure a finding of fundamental dishonesty against a claimant. Following a road traffic accident, the claimant dishonestly alleged an inability to walk without crutches or a limp, and inability to work despite surveillance and social media content to the contrary, self-publishing two books and working as a motivational speaker and parenting coach.
Sue Crane, our Large Loss Claims Manager, said about the case:
“The team and I are delighted with this result. This was a particularly challenging case, and one in which several years were spent securing evidence.
We are pleased to have been able to protect our policyholder and hope this sends a strong message to others attempting to pursue dishonest claims.
A special thanks to Robertsons for their involvement in securing the surveillance footage and online material which was so integral to this case.”
